April / Fresh Sewing Day

March

1. Hello Spring! Cushion (front), 2. Hello Spring! Cushion (back), 3. Rainbow Pop (Bow-tie Blocks) Quilt Top, 4. Farmer's Wife Quilted Storage Box, 5. Farmer's Wife Quilted Storage Box (bottom), 6. Vintage Owl Embroidery, 7. Extra Farmer's Wife Block (will become another box)

March felt like a very creative and busy month, and looking back, I can see that most of that creativity was focused on making a few projects that really challenged me to learn some new skills. I made my first quilted pillow/cushion, flying geese, and farmer's wife blocks this past month. I also finally took the time to figure out how to make button holes on my sew machine, which was surprisingly easy considering mine is totally manual. I finally finished my bow-tie block quilt top as well, which I am calling Rainbow Pop.

One item that didn't quite make the March list, but is just about finished being quilted, is my Just Wing It (Embroidery 101) quilt. This will be my first finished large-size quilt, so I am excited to get the last few seams sewn and get some photos of it. I will be updating my status on all my 1st Quarter FAL projects within the next couple days, so make sure to look for it then!

I am also linking up today with Lynne at Lily's Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day. Make sure to check out the other great projects made over the past month and to link up your own March projects.
