WIP Wednesday / Vote For Me! :)

Looking for the giveaway? Head over here.

First of all, thanks so much for the amazing response to my giveaway! I am so glad that I had the chance to participate in SMS Giveaway Day this spring and share my little piece of the web with you. I have been reading each of your comments and making notes about all of the fantastic fabric collections you love and recommend (some seriously good ones I might add!). I hope to have the chance to respond to each of your lovely comments, but with so many, I may not be able to get to everyone before the end of the draw. Thank you so much though for taking the time to comment and for stopping by!

Now, from the name of this post you can probably guess what my exciting news is about. :) Do you happen to remember this pillow?

"Have a Hoot" Embroidered Owl Cushion (Feather Your Nest ENTRY)

Oh, you mean the one I have only shown you about a thousand times. ;) Well I entered it into one last competition, this time in the Bernina We All Sew Challenge. Voting has started this week, and I am not going to even play coy or pretend that I don't really hope to win ($1000 towards a new sewing machine! I can totally use that!), so if you have a chance, please swing by and vote for me. Voting is open through May 27th and is happening on the Bernina Facebook page (there is an app that allows you to vote). You can search for my project under the name "Hoot" to make it easier to find. :) Thank you 1000 times over for your support and for patiently listening to my shameless self-promotion! Now on with the show!

In addition to participating in all of the giveaway fun that has been going on around blogland this week, I have also been cutting charms like a fiend and voting for my favorite quilts from the Blogger's Quilt Festival (you can check out all of the quilts here, mine is #249).

Hexies Hexies

I also did just a little bit of sewing, mainly making some more scrap hexies for a future quilt project that is brewing in my head and sewing three of the four quadrants of my string block for the March Craftsy BOM. I know I am woefully behind, but hopefully I will be caught up soon!

In Progress String Block

My biggest accomplishment this week was getting the last of the Mystery Charm Swap charms cut and sorted into neat little piles. Here is a sneak peek of the packs, all bundled and ready to go to their new homes. I should have them sent by the end of this week, so be on the lookout for an e-mail from me all of you Mystery Charm Swappers. :)

Orange / Aqua / Grey Mystery Charm Swap

Plum and JuneI also wanted to let you guys know that this is the first week of the Let's Get Acquainted Summer Bloghop, being hosted by Plum and June. There are four fantastic blogs being featured this week, and I hope you'll have the opportunity to stop by and say hi. :)

  2. I'd vote for you if I could - I'm a non-Facebooker is you can believe it. I don't think there's very many of us! Good luck though, $1000 towards a new machine would be awesome.

Your Craftsy blocks look great. I love string blocks but I've never tried one.
