A couple weeks ago I decided to whip up another figure-8 scarf, this time all in voile. Pure luxury!

My friend Laura and I were going through my fabric stash a little while ago when we came across the gold floral voile that I purchased from Denver Fabrics about a year ago. I have held on to it all this time hoping to make some future tunic or top, but I obviously haven't gotten around to it yet! Laura loved it so much, especially paired with my all-time favorite orange voile print from Anna Maria Horner's Pastry line, that I decided to use a little of it to make up a scarf for her. I am so happy to finally see the fabric made into something beautiful and useful rather than just stored away in my studio!

The voile layers really flow smoothly together and the prints that Laura chose very work well together. I like this version for summer and early fall since it's much lighter and cooler than the flannel versions I made this past winter.

It was such a simple project to make, but so satisfying to finish. And I think Laura really likes it too, which is the best part. :)

ReplyDeleteI love it! I made an infinity scarf last year, one side voile and the other side velveteen, but it was just too much for my chunky melon. This sounds like a GREAT alternative! :)

ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I've been eyeing up the voile and flannel I bought to make some of these last year, maybe I'll get to it before winter actually kicks in this year ;o)
